Mike Steube's 2nd place car (Steube chassis). This is the same chassis which Mike drove to a Can Am victory last saturday on the Kingleman track.
Mike's latest chassis design features a shorter wheelbase (3 3/4") than his traditional chassis length of 4".
Mike's chassis uses all bronze rod for the chassis rails.
John Tore Anderson's winning car. Tore used "golf club" lead tape to provide a lower CG than regular lead.
Tore's chassis is a classic bronze rod design.

A closer look at Tore's chassis with regular lead as well as golf club lead tape on the side pans.
Tore used a 7T GT-1 pinion with a 26T Parma crown gear.
Keith Tanaka's 3rd place car (Steube chassis).
Keith's Steube chassis handled great on the BPR flat track. This is the same Steube chassis design as used by Mike for today's race.
Bottom view of Keith's Steube chassis with the same shorter wheelbase (3 3/4") as Mike's entry.
Close up of Keith's Steube chassis shows almost identical construction as Mike's entry.
TSR D3 motor provides good torque and brakes.
Keith used an 8T GT-1 bevel pinion with a 29T Parma crown gear. JK Chem rear tires.
