The field for the first race, "Modified" 36D NASCAR Hardbodies (pre'73).
The "Modified" class is a motor builders class. Any modifications to the 36D motor is allowed.
The Modified class provides the SCM's a chance to show off.
The added horsepower/speed also means a lot more crashing. It's a handful to race these heavy speed demons even on the fast Gerding King track at Buena Park Raceway.
