SoCal D3 F1 Qualifying results. Congrats to Doug Matthes on his TQ of 4.248 seconds, a new D3 F1 TQ record. Pete Zimmerman was 2nd and Duran Trujillo 3rd. The SoCal D3 F1 field continues to improve as all 20 cars were under 5 seconds.

I forgot to take photos of all the Can Am chassis!!! Sorry. I did happen to take photos of a very interesting car. Bryan Warmack's dual "inline" motor Can Am car. Bryan designed/made this new dual motor chassis. Notice the motor shaft connector.

Bryan qualified 5th fastest (4.344 sec.) and finished 4th in the Can Am "A" Main race. Another very innovative chassis design by Bryan Warmack. Bryan has become the "Jim Hall" of chassis designers for D3/Retro racing.

Mike Steube introduces former Team Checkpoint team member Terry Schmid to the SoCal D3 racers. Terry won the Rod & Custom magazine Championship series in '66 and the Car Model magazine Championship series in '67.

SoCal D3 Can Am qualifying results. Congrats to Doug Matthes on his TQ of 4.309 sec. Philippe de Lespinay was 2nd and Duran Trujilllo was 3rd fastest. The top 8 qualifiers were all in the 4.3's!!!

Only the D3 Can Am race on the King track is a TSR D3 "handout" motor race. All other D3 races are not "handout" motor races.
