Today is Michael Crone's first D3 race at BPR. Michael hails from the San Diego area (La Mesa).
Michael entered this Joe Chevy F1 car.
Pablo (Paul) was allowed to race this F1 today (only) even though the body/chassis was too wide.
D3's maximum chassis/body width is 1 3/8".
Terry raced this Craig Correia F1 car today.
Haruki Kan traveled all the way from Tokyo, Japan to enter his first ever D3 race.
This car was built for Haruki by Craig Correia.

Mill Conroy's car won "realistic" concours today. The body was painted by "Noose", Joe Neumeister.

Haruki's entry was painted by Craig Correia. Haruki traveled from Tokyo, Japan to race D3 this week.

F1 cars are ready for qualifying.
First up is Jason Holmes to start the F1 qualifying today.
Mark Wampler during his qualifying run. It's been awhile since Mark has raced at BP. The economy has affected many racers, especially those who travel quite a distance to race at BP. Nice to see you racing at BP again Mark.
Talk about traveling cost, Haruki Kan traveled all the way from Tokyo, Japan this week to enter his first D3 race ever. At the left is Craig Correia who built Haruki's F1 car. Haruki had an excellent first ever qualifying F1 run, Congrats Haruki on your effort.
Another first time D3 racer was Michael Crone from La Mesa (San Diego area), Calif. Mike races at a new track which opened in El Cajon recently.

By the way, Terry just returned from Belgium where he recently raced in the IMCA Worlds which included a first ever Retro race. Bryan Warmack built the cars which placed 1st-2nd-3rd in the Retro race in Belgium.

Bryan Warmack built this F1 car for Mill using the JK F1 kit.
Of course, Bryan incorporates some of his unique design elements in this car based on the JK kit.

It's also based on the JK F1 kit. The kit needs to be narrowed to 1 3/8" max. width to meet the D3 rules.
Jonathan removed the pinion and loosened the Allen screw on the crown gear before I took these photos.

Haruki Kan's car was built by Craig Correia
Haruki's car was built by Craig Correia. Craig incorporated a Tony P. "aero" style floppy setup.
Although Nesta wrote down "Warmack", I believe PdL modified this chassis by adding the cow catcher front and lightened the side pans.
Mill drove his Warmack chassis as usual. Congrats to Bryan Warmack for having 3 of his cars finish 1-2-3 in the recent World's Retro race in Belgium.
Jay had the parts machined at the machine shop at the college where he's a professor (music production). He then had John Gorski build this "Gorski" designed Can Am chassis.

Can Am qualifying is ready to start
John Cukras during his qualifying run. It was great to see John racing today. He's been going thru Chemo treatments again has about 2 more months of treatments to go. His doctor says the cancer is in remission. John's been feeling much better lately since his anemia has gone away.
